For photo editing, I found an amazing iPhone/android app called Snapseed. It is very easy to use, and once you get to know what everything does, you can begin to make some very unique photos. It is free on both platforms so you should download it and try it out and get making some incredible photos. Maybe even send them to me to see.
Then at the end of 2013 i got this amazing machine. This was incredible as it allowed me to capture video and photo from new places that no one else could possibly get to. When I first got this, it came with no stabiliser, so shots weren't great, but I eventually ended up getting one for it that really increased the quality and smoothness of all my shots. Its actually incredibly easy to fly thanks to its extremely advanced in built processor.
Then in early 2013 my dad surprised me that we had the full version of Final Cut Pro X which is an amazing piece of editing software that even the best movie producers use. I managed to get the hang of how to use it very quickly seeing as i had a basic idea in my head of the kind of thing i wanted to create. I then combined my skills of using this software, and my skills of using my cameras, and started to create my first decent few movies.
I got this right at the end of 2012, I was so happy that I had finally got this. The main reason I bought it was because it could shoot slow motion video at insane speeds of up to 1200fps which is 40x slower than in real time. I later found that it could also do very good standard video too, so at the beginning of 2013 I began shooting music videos for my mum. They were a big step for me as they allowed my mind to open up and get new ideas of what to do.
This is my first camera, it clearly wasn't amazing, as you could probably tell by my progression video, but it was a good starting point that gave me some ideas as to what I could do in the future, i used this to film my transformers toy video as well as a whole load of other just completely random clips of just absolutely anything.
